Dynasty League Ranks

Here’s the Dynasty / Keeper league ratings I’m putting together going into my draft.  Keep in mind that I’m assuming that the league will continue for at least 7 years from this point, so all players are viewed as far into the future as possible. With that in mind, proven production always takes precedence over skill-set.

I generally looked at how many years that I expected each player to contribute at a level that’d be around the top ten(ish) percent at their position.  Thus, Manny Ramirez realistically has 2 or 3 or so years left out of a possible 7– while Cameron Maybin has either 7, or 0.  Personally, when evaluating young talent — I place most of my focus on their potential to dominate.  You can always cut bait with the mid-tier prospects, but the only way you’ll get ahold of the big guns is through the drafts.

Players that haven’t played in the MLB, or aren’t listed by Yahoo/ESPN have their own category and aren’t ranked.  They’re keep an eye-on players.

First up is the outfielders.
