Homer Bailey was sent down to minors camp to get a start on Friday, but I beg you not to overreact to this news. Unlike Wood and Mike Leake, Homer Bailey is out of options and I can think of a handful of clubs that’d do well with Bailey’s 2010 8+ K-per-9 and 3.3 BB-per-9.
Hell, Bailey’s liable to get hurt anyways, so it’s not like the Reds will have to keep him on the active roster all year anyways.
I still love Homer Bailey going into 2011 and look for him to provide great value in a lot of competitive fantasy leagues. He’s basically a league average arm with above average stuff and a penchant for losing focus.
